Product strategy

The flagship needed to lead.
The system still had to scale.

What began as a visual uplift became a broader product question: should a flagship simply inherit the existing system, or help define a better one?

Tension

How do you let the flagship lead without fragmenting the wider system?

Design system

The design was approved.
The rule wasn't complete.

The design worked visually, but once we tested the logic against changing real-world conditions, the rule behind it started to break down.

Thinking

Thoughts that sit somewhere between design and product.

Design x AI

If AI can make the work, what should the designer still own?

AI can increasingly structure, visualise and build. I’m more interested in what should remain human: context, judgement, direction and accountability.

BEHAVIOUR & LOGIC

Physical buttons feel easier. But is the hardware really the reason?

Touchscreens changed the interaction model, but not every digital interaction needs to feel complex. I’m interested in whether familiarity, predictability and muscle memory matter more than the physical control itself.
